Professional Qualification

The school has excellent teaching staff who are all qualified kindergarten teachers and rich in teaching experience. They hold a master's degree in early childhood education, a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a certificate in early childhood education. Some teachers have also obtained religious education certificates, pre-school special education certificates, valid first aid certificates, and qualifications for piano, violin, dance and crafts.

Teacher professional development

Professional development is a continuous process in our faculty and members of staff constantly further their studies by participating in training such as:

1. "Game, Learning and Growth" Central Workshop and the Education Psychologists Teacher Workshop at the University of Hong Kong Institute of Education's University and School Partnership Collaboration Centre (Theme: Promoting Home-School Cooperation, Sex Education etc.).

2. The Education Bureau's Kindergarten Curriculum Leadership Training.

3. The Education Bureau's Kindergarten Performance Indicators Briefing Session.

4. Visiting School or Foreign Exchange Learning.

5. Orford Music Training Workshop.

6. New Entry Theatre Teacher Workshop, Faculty Devotional Activities, Education Seminar, Teacher Development day...etc.

 

Drama Teaching - Religious Stories:

1. Young children learn through play - in the world of imagination creativity and discovery knows no limits. Imagination is also key to developing creative potential. Drama provides an unrestricted platform for young children to explore and recognize the outside world.

2. Teachers use open-minded approaches and drama teaching techniques to develop rich and varied lessons and create a relaxed and independent learning atmosphere to stimulate children's creativity and curiosity to explore and learn.

 

Teaching English

1. Its purpose is to enrich children's English listening and speaking skill, so that they can communicate with others confidently.

2. The story book is used as the main textbook; interesting storylines, interactive story-telling and relevant games facilitate the integration of the children into the English environment, establish an interest in English, and provide an enjoyable, natural and relaxed environment.

 

Mandarin teaching

The purpose is to cultivate children's interest in learning Mandarin and to slowly develop the habit of reading and sharing.
